FAQs

How soon should I schedule my appointment?

It is extremely important to get the fit right for the big day, so we schedule alterations at least 3 months before the wedding, so book early.

I already purchased my dress, can I bring it to you for alterations?

If you have purchased a dress already and need to have it altered. We also offer a service for alterations on outside bridal gowns & dresses.


What are your Alteration Hours?

Mondays - Fridays Noon - 6pm

How long do fittings last?

You should expect to spend an hour or sometimes hour and half for your first fitting Subsequent fittings are an hour.

How many fittings will I need?

It depends on the complexity of alterations needed. On average you can expect 2-3 fittings.

How much can I expect to spend?

You should always have a separate budget for alterations. Pricing for alterations depends on the modifications made to your gown. We recommend setting aside anywhere from $400 - $1000. Here are some examples of what pricing could look like

Bustle: $7 - $10 per Button/Loop
Hem: $150 - $300
Side Seam Take-in or Let-Out: $150 - $200
Adding a Corset Panel: $100 - $150

What should I bring to my fitting?

Bring your wedding day undergarments or something similar to get a true idea of how the dress will fit. You also want to bring your shoes or something of similar height.

Who should I bring with me to my appointment?

We recommend bringing your maid of honor, a bridesmaid or whomever will be helping you get dressed on your wedding day. If they can't make it our staff can record a video of how to bustle your gown to reference on the big day.

How should I store my dress after alterations?

Keep your wedding gown in the garment bag provided during your appointment. Bridal garment bags are designed to provide the best protection for your gown. We recommend keeping your garment bag in a cool, dark closet with a door, away from pets, smoke, direct heat sources and direct sunlight

What about wrinkles?

Your dress will be steamed by the seamstress after alterations. If you would like it steamed the day of the wedding to ensure it looks its best, you can book our day-of steaming service and we will come to you the morning of your wedding.
